Rachel's grand adventures 9/15/2019
First and foremost I must tell you all not to complain about anything ever. Why, you ask? Well if you do whatever you have been complaining about will likely get worse. As the example for this week of this most vital lesson, my plumbing. In the first email, I complained about how horrible my plumbing is. Now, these last two weeks we have had the coldest showers of my life. Honestly, these showers feel like you are being body-slammed by the abominable snowman into an icy lake while Jack frost has a laughing fit. For about two weeks me and my roommates endured this nightmare, assuming that perhaps we were showering at the wrong time. Finally, one brave hero named Anna called the maintenance guy and now our water is hot again. I have almost given myself third-degree burns in celebration.
Classes are still going well. I have now taken 2 tests which was not that bad and I got above a 90 on both. Yay? My classes are not super interesting this year but thus far not super hard.
I also went to the mall with my roommates. It was a fun trip and we spent a little money. I got on the front runner with them for the first time and it was really fun. It was a little long and I was kinda done shopping after a while, but still overall a good time. We also went to like an Asian market place and it was very interesting how similar and different it was then your standard American store. My favorite part of the day was when we ate chick-fil-a. So delicious.
I got to hang out with the people at home, which was nice. I really loved Brookes's play! Honestly a huge highlight of my week.
This Sunday was pretty good. I'm going to join a street choir with some of the girls in my ward for general conference. We are singing in the free speech zone and get tickets to a session of general conference. I'm pretty excited!
To end this email I would just like to remind the three people that read this that God loves you. I have had a few challenges with my anxiety this week and each time God has sent me help. He has given me kind roommates, loving parents, and most importantly christ. I know I can do all things as long as I lean on god. Today in church we sung master the tempest is rising and let me tell you I teared up. It is such a powerful hymn. God has control of the storms of life and will not let you drown. If you stay on his boat he will still the winds and calm the sea.
I love you all so much and will see you next week. Mom send this to Emily too.

The monster we pulled out of the two Annes bathtub. Literally makes me sick to look at.
A painting thing I'm doing. I'm hoping to fill the wall.
Saturday night dinner! It was cheese enchiladas with delicious guacamole and veggies.
